Elizabeth Waggett is a British contemporary artist who creates free-spirited depictions of animals, skulls, and personal trinkets. Her work explores the profound relationship between value and purpose in our consumer-driven society.

Speaking of the genesis of The Fragility of Power, Waggett reveals:
"Having lived on Manhattan for two years, I was feeling a sense of entrapment. I wanted to see 'real America' so we set out on a road trip, heading south, exploring the different places steeped in history, the people, the food, traditions and accents."

"On the road between Austin and Houston, I fell in love with the longhorns. Their symmetry, power and beauty, all while being very delicate in balance."

This silkscreen and giclée print is hand-finished with gold and platinum. From a limited edition of three, the piece is signed and numbered by the artist.

All hand embellished editions are small in number and vary from piece to piece with elements such as overdrawing, embellishment with inks and graphite, and gold leafing.  This means that each fine artwork is completely unique.  It ensures that each collector has a lasting acquisition.  Artwork consists of archival pigment inks printed onto 310 gsm cotton rag, hand embellished with graphite and gold leaf, signed and numbered.

A ‘Unique Edition’ is used to signify that each piece within the edition, while being the same imagery and format, is not identical as with a typical edition or print.
